Chincha: Chinchagram MAY
For the month of May we’ve chosen the theme of kids, young people and youth culture for Chinchagram, influenced by the fact that it was Children’s Day on the weekend.
Chinchagram is a new monthly photography competition that Chincha are holding. To enter, all you need to do is tag your photos with chinchagram

Reality
I just talked with my supervisor about having to switch my schedule around today. They have a Korean teacher on vacation so I have to combine a class. Anyway, she told me that our director asked her to talk to me about my “plans” after Avalon. I told her that I plan on going home when I finish. My start day was August 15th, which happens to be two days before the summer intensive ends. So I told her that I could work until the Friday. While it would be great to have two days off before I fly out, I would have to find somewhere to stay with all my stuff first. That would really suck. I am hoping they let me stay until August 17th and then I will fly out to Italy on August 18th at 12:50 from Incheon.
The end feels pretty real now. I am wondering if they were considering having me renew. All the other teachers were not offered another contract with them. Anyway, I was pretty honest with her.
I guess I will find out when they give me my finishing papers.
Roller Derby in South Korea: ROKD

I am really excited to get back into roller derby. I think it will be a nice dual challenge for me. It will force me to balance my schedule and get exercise in. I think that I can do both derby and rugby, at least while I am in Korea.
Can you see me in the picture? I was just skating around and taking pictures during their scrimmage. I’m not facing the camera.

My friend Gary sent this link to me. I think this cartoon will make it easier to learn Korean. Plus it’s super cute. :D
